Intex Inflatable Spas
Whether you want a simple bubble spa for weekend soaks or a jet-and-bubble model with an app-connected control panel, Intex PureSpa inflatable spas give you a hot tub without building anything. Many people call them inflatable jacuzzis or blow up hot tubs, and they all work the same way: inflate, fill, plug in and heat. Browse our Intex above ground pools too if you’d like a pool and a spa for the backyard.
Why Choose an Intex Inflatable Hot Tub?
An inflatable spa gives you the benefits of a hot tub without the cost of a fixed install. It sits on a flat surface, and when you no longer want it set up, it can be drained and packed away. That makes it a practical option for renters, smaller outdoor spaces or anyone who wants to try a spa before committing to a permanent one.

Choosing the Right Intex Blow Up Hot Tub
- Massage style: Bubble spas feel gentle and relaxing, while the Jet & Bubble model adds a stronger massage.
- Shape and footprint: The round model is 2.16m across, the square one is 1.96m x 1.96m and the octagon is 2.18m. Allow extra room for the cover, power cord and access.
- Controls: The Deluxe models have a removable wireless control panel. The Jet & Bubble model also works with the Intex Link app.
- Water care: The Deluxe models include saltwater sanitation, which can reduce how often you need to add sanitiser. All three have hard water treatment.
- Extras: Check what’s included, such as headrests, spare cartridges, LED light and carry bag, since they differ between models.

Power, Heating and Running Costs
Intex spas plug into a standard power outlet, and they should always be used with an RCD (safety switch). Keep cords and outlets away from water, and ask a licensed electrician to install an outdoor outlet if you don’t have a suitable one.
The heater raises the water to your chosen temperature, between 20 and 40°C. Heating time depends on the starting water temperature and the weather. For the Sahara Tan model, the maximum temperature needs an outdoor temperature of at least 10°C, so check the manual for your model before relying on it in cold weather. Keeping the insulated cover on whenever the spa isn’t in use cuts heat loss and running costs.
Setting Up an Intex Inflatable Hot Tub
Set the spa on a firm, flat surface with a ground mat or cloth underneath. Inflate it to the recommended firmness, fill it with a garden hose, connect the control unit and plug it into a protected outlet. Then set your temperature and wait for the water to heat. Read the manual before first use, as inflation pressure and fill levels matter for safety and for the life of the spa.
Spa Safety
Hot water carries risks, especially for children, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions. Don’t leave children unsupervised near a spa, keep the cover locked when it isn’t in use, and follow the manufacturer’s guidance on soak times and temperatures.
