The Intex Krystal Clear QS500 is a 5g/hr saltwater chlorinator for above ground pools. It uses ordinary pool salt to produce natural chlorine, which keeps bacteria and algae under control with levels of chlorine that swimmers neither feel nor smell. Using salt simplifies pool maintenance and reduces the need for packaged pool chemicals.

How the Saltwater System Works

The Krystal Clear Saltwater System combines a two-step pool sanitisation process. By using common pool salt, it provides clean, clear water that is soft and fresh, and non-irritating to skin and eyes, without the harsh side effects of packaged pool chemicals. It also helps fight mucus, moss on the pool walls and floor, and green algae growth.

Built to Look After Itself

An enhanced titanium conversion cell with automatic self-cleaning keeps scale from building up, so the unit keeps working with little attention.

Easy to Monitor

The digital control panel has a 4-digit LED display and warning lights so you can check the system at a glance. A salt concentration sensor and a water temperature sensor help monitor the system accurately.

Connects to Your Pump

The unit needs a filter pump to work. Two adapters are included for easy connection to all Intex pumps and many non-Intex pumps with non-threaded 32mm and 38mm connections, or threaded 38mm connections.
